Although these gut-related problems are quite common for multivitamins, these problems are not that serious and temporary. So there is nothing to worry about. But there are some rare problems you might face.

  • Gout
  • Headaches
  • Insomnia
  • Nosebleeds

You won’t face these problems regularly, but if you take multivitamins and if the dosage does not exceed the daily safe upper limit, then the chances of encountering these problems increase even if you take multivitamins combined with other foods or supplements, then also the risk of facing these rare problems increases. Some people might face severe allergic reactions after taking multivitamins. Even some cases where people experienced breathing problems, swelling of the face, throat, tongue, or lips after consuming a multivitamin.

All these problems mentioned above are common for adults. There are similar in the case of children or infants, and children can experience side effects at much lower doses than adults. There are some incidents where due to overdoses of nutrients, some children died.

Sides Effects Of Different Vitamins

Different vitamins have different side effects. As in water-soluble and fat-soluble vitamins affect differently. Water-soluble vitamins are vitamin C, vitamin B3, vitamin B9. At the same time, fat-soluble vitamins include vitamin A, vitamin D, and vitamin E.

Excess intake of vitamin C causes vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, cramps, and severe migraines. Vitamin B6 is also water-soluble, and if you take a lot of Vitamin B6, you will experience liver damage, blood pressure, and vision problems. In rare cases, you will face neurological problems, skin lesions, heartburn, and light sensitivity.

And finally, when you have excess vitamin B9 for a long period, your immune system will become weak, also you will face neurological problems and severe vitamin B12 deficiency.

Fat-soluble vitamins are more harmful than water-soluble vitamins. For example, excess level of vitamin A causes liver damage, congenital disabilities, and severe headaches. And vitamin D causes heart problems, kidney failure, etc.

Everything has a limit in this world. The same goes for vitamin supplements. Before taking you must consult a good doctor and if you face any problems after taking you should immediately go to a doctor.
