What are the roles and responsibilities in Scrum? 

Some various roles and responsibilities are clearly outlined and carried out in Scrum: 

  1. Product Owner: The person responsible in this role maximises product value by managing and optimising all the product backlogs. They also act as a liaison between the stakeholders and the teams to keep them informed in all business communications. 
  1. Scrum Master: The major responsibility of a Scrum Master is to lead the team in an organised manner so that all the tasks assigned to the different team members are completed on time. Scrum Master plays a vital role by liaising between the leadership and team members. 
  1. Development Team: This team comprises 3-5 members responsible for carrying out several Sprint Goals set up in the Sprint meetings. They are majorly cross-functional and self-organised. The development team’s responsibility lies in achieving those goals by dividing tasks amongst them and taking ownership of those assigned tasks.
